Coming Soon: Multimodality Head Phantom

INDISPENSABLE QUALITY ASSURANCE TOOL FOR FUSION VERIFICATION AND MR GEOMETRIC DISTORTION MEASUREMENTS

RSD’s Multimodality Head Phantom provides comprehensive and accurate assessments across multiple imaging modalities including X-ray, CT and MRI. This advanced phantom features a highly detailed skull and cervical spine constructed of materials mimicking the attenuation properties of both trabecular and cortical bone. For realistic MR and CT imaging, the soft tissue signal is generated using a proprietary aqueous solution, enabling T1, T2, and PD weighted imaging.

Within the cranial portion of the skull, there is a 3D lattice specifically designed for assessing MR distortion within the head scan field of view. To maintain structural integrity and contain the aqueous solution, the entire phantom is enclosed in a transparent, scatter-proof plastic shell. This phantom has also been verified to fit perfectly in both the Siemens and GE head coil.
